Family History: Marlene is a pureblood. She's an only child, and very much able to use that to her advantage. Growing up, she was taught all of the 'proper' pureblood ways, but was never taught the pureblood ideals of being 'better than mudbloods'. When she was sorted into Gryffindor, they were suprised, but very supportive.
Personality: Marlene is very outgoing. She is usually witty and sarcastic, but knows how to cool down the sarcasm and be serious when her friends need her. She's highly intelligent, but can't be bothered to apply herself to get the top marks, and is willing to settle for passing. Marlene is very free-spirited, which gets her into trouble after hours with professors, but hasn't given her too much of a reputation, so she doesn't worry too much about it. She's very fun, and tends to get along with people in many different groups, if they are willing to give her a shot.
Likes: Marlene loves drawing. She can be found often sitting under a tree (a rather large one on the edge of the Great Lake) drawing at all hours, even when it becomes dark out. Her favorite course is potions, because she loves manipulating the seemingly useless ingredients to make something important.
Dislikes: Marlene hates Divination, with a passion. She also hates snobs.
Character Strengths: Marlene is an incredible friend. She knows how to put a smile on when people need one, but also knows when things need to turn into serious moments. If she was a muggle, she'd probably be into psychology. She's also a powerful fighter, and excells in dueling. She also has the ability to see past people's faults and befriend those that may otherwise be considered enemies.
